Mark Sanchez's midseason report card...

It's hard to give him a complete grade until we see how he responds in this weeks must win game. So far I would give him a C. Yes, even with a 61 rating and 6TD's with 10 Picks and only 1100 yards after 7 games. We have to hope that he can improve in the second half of the season. If he can limit the turnovers and his receiving corps. gets healthy maybe he can fix that TD/INT ratio. Thats whats driving down his rating.

Brady put up an 86 rating with 2800 yards and 18TD's and 12INT's. He wasn't a rookie fresh out of college, he was a second year player with an amazing defense to lean on. Mark will continue to have "rookie moments", he needs avoid anymore of those "rookie games". When he makes mistakes, he needs to recover... no more sulking on the bench. And when he does turn it over, the defense needs to get it back.

If we win this week we have real hope for the second half of the season. Thats a big "IF". I don't care about injuries or any other excuses we can point to. This defense needs to be nothing short of dominate in the second half. We have shown some signs of being elite defense. Now it's time for this group to step up or shut up.

The story line for the remainder of 2009 is going to be about the defense, not the rookie.
