The picture is starting to come into focus...

So we have a pretty good picture of what our 2009 NY Jets are going to look like this year. We will probably make some-sort-of move for a WR and will hopefully work something out regarding the defensive line, but we should be about 80-85% completed with the roster.

The QB depth chart should be interesting. Right now I guess it would be Clemens #1, 'Dirty' Sanchez #2, and Eric Ainge #3, with common sense telling us the coaching staff has every intention of Sanchez being our starter by opening day. I have been confident that we would sign a veteran back up as an insurance policy like the Titans did with Kerry Collins backing up Vince Young. However, letting Jeff Garcia sign with Oakland leaves a big question mark regarding the signal callers left on the market.

The Jets officially released Brett Favre yesterday insuring he can not drag us into his annual  "Favre-Fest" where he rides the fence until training camp releasing little statements to the press about how he is not sure if he is ready to hang it up. I am glad this circus is over and I will put the forgettable 08' season behind me gladly. For all of you who ran out to buy a #4 jersey please go file it up in the attic next to you Esiason, O'Donell and Lott jerseys. Maybe it will start to sink in that past their prime, big name players are only good for one thing: absorbing cap space.

The only FA WR I was interested in was Tory Holt. He is no longer available after signing with the Jags so frankly I don't care who they bring in. Having a gaping hole at wide out and not selecting one in a draft that was so deep at the position is simply ignorant. As for Plaxico Burress I have said before that we have nothing to loose if we sign him as long as it is for short money. 4-5 million for 2 years would be appropriate and for that money who cares if he is suspended for the beginning of the season?

I really expect to see our offensive line take it's place amongst the top 5 in the game. This will be year two that the same five players will be together and at this point in their respective careers they should be a rock solid unit. If Thomas Jones forces a trade or to be released it will be his loss. He has the chance to finish his NFL run behind an excellent O-line. He should see at least 15 touches a game and 1500 yards if he just shuts his mouth and plays.

I have only one reservation about giving 'Neon' Leon Washington a nice extension. I feel he may only have a few more productive years left in the league. He is small and not afraid of contact. I just don't know how much his body can handle. That being said I don't want to see him leave, he is a game changer with a great attitude, I just hope we don't over pay. Jones, Washington an Greene could be a nice backfield.

Our secondary is probably one of the best in the AFC and with players like Owens, Evans, Moss, and Welker to defend in our division we will need to be. Loosing Abrahm Elam is a blow to that squad, we now have no depth at saftey, so hopefully we stay healthy. My eye is on #25 Kerry Rhodes this year. He has been a bit over rated since being drafted via the 4th round in 05'. To deserve that big contract extension he received last year I am going to need to see a probowl performance this year.

Our LB's should be an interesting bunch as well. They are big and can hit hard, I just hope our new '2 gap' 3-4 scheme fits them a bit better when it comes to defending the pass. I hope Scott lights  fire under Gholston and David Harris our young talented ILB doesn't get lost in the mix.

Our real achilles heal is our D-line. We have a B+ DT in Jenkins and no depth behind him. He have a C- DE in Ellis and no book end opposite him. We need at least one more big man in the middle and 2- 3 more tall 280 lb-plus DE's including a starter. How Chris Canty slipped through our fingers and over to the Giants dumbfounds me. I have to say this group has me concerned. If you can't stop the run and rush the passer consistently you are not a post season threat in this league.

This team is coming together, but the few missing pieces to the puzzle can make all the difference. One warning to Jet fans everywhere, please be realistic about this season. A rookie QB can only do so much. Don't expect the light bulb to go off in Sanchez's until late 2010 or early 2011. I just hope he survives that long.

3 players????? Thats it?????

I am not a happy fan.

I thought the 07' draft was crazy with only 4 selections.  We traded away our entire draft for Revis and Harris. Mr. T out did himself this year by trading away our entire draft for an untested QB and a C- running back. The funny part is he drafted Sanchez because he and his coaching staff obviously have no confidence in his previous pick Kellen Clemens.

I am starting to feel that Mr. T likes seeing his name in the papers and hearing it on ESPN. There is no question in my mind that the Giants have a far superior GM. Guys like Jerry Reese, Bill Bellichek, and Ozzy Newsome keep a low profile and don't make decisions inspired by being the lead story on Sports Center.

Unless Sanchez and Greene become perennial pro-bowlers, this draft was a big waste. I hope the Jets have some plan for a WR. A rookie starting QB is going to need more than Dustin Keller and Jericho Cotchery to be successful.

We are not any better as a team today then we were on Friday.

In round 3 we trade up again...

... and select Shonn Greene.  He's a RB out of Iowa 5'11" 227lbs.  Cedric Peerman from Virginia was available and I had him ranked much higher. The difference between these players is Greene is a between the tackles one trick pony. He has a total of 11 receptions for his entire college career. Peerman can run, block, and catch. If I was going to give up two draft picks for a player he would need to be a triple threat. Again, that being said now is the time to get behind Greene and support him in the green and white.

If we would have stayed put at 17 we could have easily traded our pick to Tampa and picked up an extra 2nd rounder.   We could have drafted Chris Wells. We would have had back to back 2nd round pics where we could have had Fili Moala who I wasn't big on when he was projected to be a 1st rounder but I would have liked in the mid 2nd round, and Brandon Tate WR North Carolina. In round 3 we could have picked up Ramses Barden the 6'6" WR out of Cal Poly.

We will have addressed a number of needs and still had  our 4th rounder where we could target Graham Gano K from Florida. Now we will sit on our hands until round 5.

Mr. T's approach the last three years is to give up picks to trade up for players he falls in love with. He also seems to get off on making big splashes. He has given up a ton of picks over the past few seasons for players he is very sure about. That comes across as cocky. So far D'brick seems like he was a big reach as #4 overall in 06. Gholston was obviously drafted way too high at #6 overall in 08' and his QB from 06' who was drafted very high in the second round (Clemens) is being left by the roadside in favor of Sanchez.

All of this seems like a GM who is two things. He's feeding an inflated ego, and desperate. I am not happy with the direction we are going in, however I will say in Mr.T's defense that we didn't give up as much as I thought we would to move up for Sanchez. Thank God.

Mark Sanchez... thoughts

So the Jets have traded Abrahm Elam, Kenyon Coleman, and Brett Ratliff the #17 overall pick, and our 2nd round pick for the #5 overall pick. This had been talked about and there is no secret that Woody Johnson is in love with Sanchez.

I feel that we would have been better off keeping our pick and taking Knowshon Moreno. I have faith in Kellen Clemens. I also like Ratliff, but I am not heartbroken that he is gone. Loosing Elam is very hard for me to swallow. Dealing with Mangini is also sickening. We have done nothing to address the WR dept, and we don't pick again until the 3rd round.

Make no mistake, this player was picked to sell PSL's. One trade senario that would have been amazing for us would have been to move up to 5 by trading this years and next years 1st round picks and the three players that were invloved for the #5 pick and Derek Anderson. Then we could have picked up Crabtree.

However Anderson is not as flashy a move as moving up to snatch the USC prospect, and the Jets need flashy right now. Mark is here, he is a huge risk because he is unproven... but we need to have faith in our front office. Mr. T has put all his eggs in one basket for the 2009 draft and is career as the Jets GM.

I will root for Sanchez even though I disagree with the move and the reason why it was made. As a fan I have to have faith and believe. Hopefully we have our new leader and face of the franchise.

Good Luck Mark!!

16 hours till' the draft....

16 hours until the 2009 NFL draft, here are some names of players I like in various rounds:

Knowshon Moreno RB, ‘Benie’ Wells RB, Clay Mathews LB,  Kenny Britt WR, Alphonso Smith CB, Dorell Scott D line, Rulon Davis D line, Cedric Peerman RB, Ramses Barden WR, Graham Gano K.

Should be one hell of a first round, PLEASE Jets don’t chase Sanchez or anyone else. Value our picks, don’t give them away.

With the 17th pick in the 2009 draft the NY Jets select..........

I know there is a realistic chance the Jets will go for either Josh Freeman or Mark Sanchez in the draft this weekend. This is a huge mistake, but with a new coaching staff in place Mr. T may feel a bit of peer pressure to make this move. I guess it all comes down to Schottenhiemer's evaluation of Kellen Clemens. If Brian has any faith in #11 we will not take a QB on day one of this year’s draft. That being said, here are 8 players who should be available at #17 and who would be an excellent addition to our 2009 NY Jets.

In order of who I like: Knowshon Moreno RB Georgia, Clay Mathews OLB USC, Chris Wells RB Ohio State, Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri, Evander Hood DT Missouri (possible DE prospect), Kenny Britt WR Rutgers, Robert Ayers DE Tennessee, B.J. Raji DT B.C.(may slip down the board).

Freeman will be there at 17 and hopefully we pass. As for Sanchez, we will need to move up at least 8 to 10 spots to get him. That will cost us 2 draft picks as well as our #17. We have too many holes to fill to sacrifice that many picks. With the variety of talent that will be waiting for us at #17 I see no reason to trade up.

I have no idea if Freeman or Sanchez will ever become franchise QB's, they may both end up as future hall of famers. What I do know is we need to use our 1st round pick on a player who can have an impact this year. Realistically I don't see either one of these prospects having any impact in the NFL until late 2010 or 2011. I have no problem investing at least 8-10 games in 2009 to see if Kellen is the real deal. I have a good feeling about him.

One other note, we obviously have a bit of a hole at the TE spot. Sure, we drafted Keller last year in the late 1st round, but he is a TE/WR hybrid and not much of a blocker. I know there is talk of the Jets being interested in Brandon Pettigrew from Oklahoma St. He's big and slow and not worth a pick this high. Also taking two TE's in the first round back to back years is absurd. It makes the Keller pick last year look like a waste. And finally I have seen enough first round busts in the past years (see Kyle Brady and Anthony Becht not to mention the Doug Jolley trade debacle) to make me cry if we pick up Pettigrew this year at 17.

One last bit of news. Vernon Gholston has changed his number from 56 to 50 which was his old college number. With the departure of Eric Barton #50 became available. If you didn’t feel stupid for buying a Gholston jersey before… I’m sure you do now.

2009 coaching staff: a closer look

Our 2009 Coaching staff is an interesting group. Most of us know about Rex Ryan and his resume by now. He's the son of one of the greatest defensive coaches in NFL history, much like our offensive coordinator Brian Schottenhiemer who also is the son of a legend. Brian is another coach we know a lot about considering he has been with us for 3 seasons now. Mike Westhoff has been a fixture as our special teams coach since the dreaded Herm Edwards era. Bill Callahan has also been retained as our offensive line coach.

I'd like to focus on some of the new faces. I'll start with Matt Cavanaugh our new QB coach. This is quite an important job considering our current situation. Matt was a second rate journeyman career back up from 1979 to 1991. He was also the Ravens offensive coordinator from 2001 to 2004. He worked directly with Kyle Boller helping him build the legacy of a 1st round bust. It's hard to understand what makes the Jets feel comfortable with Cavanaugh tutoring our young signal callers. Big question mark on this hire. I know Mr. T gave Rex as much freedom as possible to assemble his staff the way he saw fit, but former offensive coaches from the Ravens would not be on my list.

Kerry Locklin is our new defensive line coach. How Rex found this guy is beyond me. He was an NFL player for a short time and has spent the last NINE YEARS as the defensive line coach at Fresno Sate. Our defensive line is the weakest of our defensive squads. Hopefully this 'nobody' coach can make an impact. Again, big question mark on this hire.

Dennis Thurman may be our most impactful new coach. He is our secondary coach and is another import form Baltimore. He coached one of the best secondaries of this decade with the Ravens and has some great talent to work with here in NY. If Mike Pettine would have declined the defensive coordinator position with the Jets Thurman would have been the likely runner up.

Speaking of Mike Pettine, he has his job because of the success he had with the LB corps of the Ravens. His job is multi faceted but one of his main responsibilities will be turning Vernon Gholston into a force on the field instead of a decoration. Rex describes him as a 'rising star in this league' and if the Jets defense becomes one of the most dominate units in the game, Pettine could start getting head coaching offers as soon as 2010.

I would be very surprised if Pettine and Shottenhiemer are with the Jets for more than 2 years. Considering the bright futures ahead of our young defensive and offensive coordinators, my hope is they will coach with intensity and it will translate to how we play on both sides of the ball.

This is a very solid coaching staff; however they need to develop chemistry off the field much like the players need it on the field. Rex seems like a natural leader and his defensive staff is outstanding. I guess the big question is how well will Schotty accept all these new faces considering he expected to be our head coach in 2009? Time will tell.

I have never been more disappointed in my Jets than the last 4 or 5 games of 2008. Watching players going through the motions and playing with zero heart was sickening. I blame Mangini and I'm glad Woody made Mr. T pull the trigger. This team is a work in progress, but with this staff I predict a lot of hard hitting and passion on the field. This is your chance Rex, make it happen!

2009 Schedule

Taking a look at the Jets 2009 regular season schedule it’s very hard to predict the team’s record. Let’s take a closer look…

1 Sep 13 NYJ @ HOU Reliant Stadium 1:00 PM CBS (Win)

Jets open on the road, like usual.  If I’m not mistaken we have opened the season at home like 10 or 12 times in the teams 40+ years of existence. However, the Texans have struggled for an identity since their inception and I could see this as a very good chance to start the season the right way with a win.

2 Sep 20 NE @ NYJ Giants Stadium 1:00 PM CBS (Loss)

Carbon copy of last years week two, Pats at home. The Pats ate Clemens lunch when he faced them in 2007. If he’s our starter their revamped secondary may give him another day to forget. Speaking of secondary’s, our new look squad will have its first and probably most hearty challenge of the season. Galloway, Welker, Moss, Watson. If Brady is 100% by early September expect any weak link in our defensive chain to be exposed.

3 Sep 27 TEN @ NYJ Giants Stadium 4:15 PM CBS (Win)

This should be a great game. Our LB’s will be in the spotlight showing how disciplined they can be holding their gaps and trying to contain the Titans dynamic running attack. Anyone else think we should wear our ‘Titans of NY’ throw backs on the field week 3????

4 Oct 04 NYJ @ NO Superdome 4:05 PM CBS (Loss)

If the Saints end up with Benie Wells who they are targeting in the draft this year, their high flying passing game will be equaled by the one two punch of Reggie Bush and his fellow 1st round rookie counter part. And I’m sure Mr. Vilma will have something to prove.

5 Oct 12 NYJ @ MIA Dolphin Stadium 8:30 PM ESPN (Win)

I frankly see last year as a fluke. The Miami defense will continue to improve in 09’, but I think Chad will have a very ruff time against Sheppard, Revis, Rhodes and Leonhard. Don’t be shocked if Vernon Gholston starts to shine at this point of the season. Weeks 2,3, and 4 provide some major challenges to our defense. This will be the first week they can really show if they are grasping the new system.

6 Oct 18 BUF @ NYJ Giants Stadium 4:15 PM CBS (Win)

3-2 and going home to face the Bills. I hate the Bills. I watched them destroy the Jets back in the early 90’s.  Now that they have been ‘rebuilding’ for about 12 or 13 years I have enjoyed watching them struggle. Looking at the Bills schedule I don’t see them having the great start they had last season. I see their collapse during the second half of 08’ carrying over to 09’. By week 6 Terrell Owens should be mouthing off. Hopefully the chaos on their sideline will equal a win for the green and white.

7 Oct 25 NYJ @ OAK Oakland Coliseum 4:05 PM CBS (Win)

I am sure by week 7 the always unstable Raiders will have benched Jamarcus Russell and turned to Jeff Garcia. Hopefully we are not on our 2nd or 3rd QB by this point of the season. Now that Rob Ryan and Al Davis have parted ways I don’t see the raiders D being too much for us to handle. We win by a field goal in a low scoring game on the west coast.

8 Nov 01 MIA @ NYJ Giants Stadium 1:00 PM CBS (Loss)

Twice in four weeks. That can be very dangerous. Lots of cheers for Chad. The talented coaching staff in Miami makes the proper adjustments to pull out a close one in the Meadowlands.

9 Bye

Perfect mid-season bye week!

10 Nov 15 JAC @ NYJ Giants Stadium 1:00 PM CBS (Win)

No one knows who the Jags will be week 1 of the season not to mention how they may evolve by week 10. Can Jones-Drew carry the load with Taylor out of the picture? Will they establish a true #1 wide out? Will they take a QB in the first round and shatter Garrard’s confidence? Who knows? Coming off a bye week and playing at home I see us being ready!

11 Nov 22 NYJ @ NE Gillette Stadium 4:15 PM CBS (Loss)

This could end up being a flex game. Rex needs to at least split the season series. By this point in the season we will know who we are. My hope is we are good enough to win at The Razor. My heart says yes, my mind says… not this year Rex.

12 Nov 29 CAR @ NYJ Giants Stadium 1:00 PM FOX (Win)

Another dynamic young running combo. Should be a similar challenge as week3 vs. the Titans. I feel Jake Delhomme’s ship has sailed and he may be benched by this point of the 09’ season. I don’t see Carolina being a force next year and I think we should stand strong at home.

13 Dec 03 NYJ @ BUF Rogers Centre 8:20 PM NFL NETWORK (Loss)

The jets go international. Our first regular season game outside of the USA. I think the Bills will be an OK team next year and they always play us hard. I don’t see us sweeping them.

14 Dec 13 NYJ @ TB Raymond James Stadium 1:00 PM CBS (Win)

Lots of Jet fans in the sunshine state. I expect a lot of green and white jerseys in the stands for this game. Tampa is in an official rebuilding mode. New coach, new QB, new offensive and defensive schemes. No more Kiffin or Gruden. This team will play hard for their rookie head coach, and they will be most dangerous at home. However, I think we will be too much for them.

15 Dec 20 ATL @ NYJ Giants Stadium 1:00 PM FOX (Loss)

They are young but should be in the playoff hunt late in the season. I’d also expect our young signal caller (who ever he may be) to be beat up and pretty worn out by this point of the season. I think we will be out of steam as a whole by this point.

16 Dec 27 NYJ @ IND Lucas Oil Stadium 4:15 PM CBS (Loss)

I think Peyton will have one hell of a comeback season in 09’. Rex is familiar with him and knows how to make him uncomfortable in the pocket. We match up well with this team and will be fighting for our playoff lives. Manning is a God in Indy and home field may be the deciding factor in this one.

17 Jan 03 CIN @ NYJ Giants Stadium 1:00 PM CBS (Win)

8-7 and coming off two hard losses. Win or loose I feel we will need at least 11 wins to make the playoffs (remember the Pats missed the post season with 11 last year) and I just can’t see us getting there. Coles returns to the meadowlands for a game with little to no playoff ramifications for either team.

I see the NY Jets at either 8-8 or 9-7 this year. Making the playoffs shouldn’t be the goal of Jet fans this year. Our goal should be establishing the QB of the future and finding our #1 go to wide receiver. My hope is that Kellen Clemens and Vernon Gholston step up and we can really feel comfortable and confident in the direction Tannenbaum has this team going. If our QB situation is still up in the air and we are below .500 by the end of 09’ I don’t see Woody keeping Mr.T around for another season.

Team needs...

Looking at our current line up heading into the 2009 NFL draft our team needs are very obvious. If you prioritize the draft by ‘gaping holes’ then ‘question marks’ and finally additional depth for your ‘solid positions’ you can begin to target players in each round

First off we have our most ‘solid positions’: Corner, Safety, ILB, Guard, Tackle, and Center. That equals a quality secondary and O-line.

The next category would be ‘question marks’. OLB is a big question mark because of Gholston. Calvin Pace has the strong side locked down but #56 may or may not emerge this year as a force. We have one of the best DT’s in the game Kris Jenkins, but in the nickel and dime packages he needs another solid big man to play alongside him and obviously we need depth at this position. If we Keep Sean Ellis we still are in need of an impact DE. Some free agents have been brought in to compete, so I would also classify DE as another question mark position.

That leaves us with the QB’s, RB’s and WR’s. Obviously the QB spot is a huge question mark, but we have three capable young signal callers who can fight it out for the #1 spot during the next 4 months. As a side note, I am shocked Jeff Garcia signed with the Raiders over the Jets. I am sure we could have out bid Oakland’s 1 year deal and he would have been a nice insurance policy for our offense. Oh well, he’s a Raider, no big loss.

Back to the topic at hand, I have one final category for team needs… ‘gaping hole’. Our WR corps. is missing a true #1WR and our backfield needs a young prospect that can make an impact and compliment ‘Neon’ Leon Washington. I think we should take a shot at Knowshon Moreno. After the combine he looked like he had slipped to the bottom of the 1st round because of a weak 40 time (4.6). However, as teams do private work outs with the Georgia RB he is quickly moving back up the board. I am not in favor of trading up in the first round to chase him.

If he is gone by #17 and Chris Wells from Ohio State is still available I would settle for him. He would compliment Washington well. And frankly I would dump Thomas Jones. If he is going to be a distraction I would tell the 30 year old back to clean out his locker. He is not a bad veteran RB but he is certainly replaceable.

Our WR’s are an interesting group. Jericho Cotchery can excel as a #2 target or a slot receiver. He flourishes in single coverage. Chansey Stuckey is also a good quality #2 or #3 guy. The most intriguing WR currently on the roster is David Clowney who wore #17 last year and has switched to #87 after Coles departure.

Clowney is lightning fast (4.37 40) great hands and instincts, good character (he is the legal guardian of his younger brother) and is brash and confident. He is the complete package, kinda reminds me of a young Steve Smith from Carolina. Those are his pros; here are his only two cons: he needs experience and much more playing time, and he is a bit injury prone. He has the potential to grow into a true #1 WR but he needs to stay healthy something else he has in common with Mr. Smith from the Panthers.

That being said a tall strong playmaker like Kenny Britt from Rutgers would fill out this squad very well. Weeks ago Britt looked like he would have been obtainable with our second pick. He has moved up the board quickly after a great combine and some great individual work outs. We will have to make a move to pick him up at the end of the first round, much like we did last year moving up for Dustin Keller.

Speaking of Keller you might have noticed that I didn’t mention the TE position at all. I am simply not sure what category that fits in for the NYJ’s this year. Letting Baker walk was an odd move. He complimented Keller well. I assumed the Jets would make a move for FA L.J. Smith but they never even sniffed at him. We went TE in the 1st round last year so I don’t see us taking another that high again this year. I am sure we will draft a TE somewhere but probably not until day two.

We currently have 6 draft picks. We had 9 before giving up some mid rounders to Green Bay and the Eagles. We have a pick in every round except the 5th. We pick in the middle of each round with the earliest pick being the 12th of round 3. Assuming nothing changes I would go RB, WR, WR, DE, TE, OLB, as my top 6 priority’s in the draft. And as you may notice I didn’t mention a QB in this draft. We have the young up and coming signal caller thing all covered.

Doesn't this guy look thrilled??!?!

A few quick thoughts about the past week. I am soooo glad Jay Cutler didn't land in NY. If we end up 3-13 with Clemens and Ratliff throwing for a combined 20 plus picks I may feel a bit different, but for now I am glad he is not here and is not in the AFC anymore for that matter. The Bears gave up Kyle Orton two 1st round picks and a 3rd. That’s a lot for Jay to live up to. Chicago is known to chew up QB's and spit them out, will they cut a hometown boy a break? Without an elite target like Brandon Marshall, I smell disaster in the windy city.

The Detroit Lions were very interested in Cutler and I can only imagine what he, Kevin Smith and Calvin Johnson could have accomplished together. One quick note about what Detroit should do with the number one overall pick: The Lions are obviously starting from scratch with one of the biggest reclamation projects ever. A franchise QB would be an important building block. However, taking a QB #1 overall in a draft that is as weak as this one at that position makes no sense. They have so many spots to fill they should take the best available player.

The Mock draft boards around the universe are fluctuating and no two experts agree on what the NY Jets will do with the #17 pick. All I can say is if we take a QB in the first round it will be another bad move in a long long history of draft blunders. Benie Wells is a one trick pony, and the only other RB who would be considered at #17 would be my man Knowshon. I have been real clear about what I think of Moreno.

As for Plax, I would assume that the Giants have something up their sleeve considering the timing of his release. I have a feeling Braylon Edwards or Anquan Boldin will end up with the G-men. Would I be interested in Burress? Why not? He will play again eventually. Wrap him up now for short money if you can, I think they call that buying low. I wouldn't count on him being a big part of the offense any time soon, but when he is cleared to play why not have the rights to him?

Now that the Giants officially have a gaping hole at WR I am sure they are targeting one with their first pick. All of this is driving Kenny Britt from Rutgers up the draft board. I think if we want him we would have to use our #1 pick, and that's a little too high for him.

I just don't see how the Jets will fill their own hole at WR. I suggested a trade for Edwards from the Browns, or chasing free agent Tory Holt. I don't see either one of those things happening. I hope the powers that be realize a young QB can't excel with out a true #1 threat at WR.

One final note on the Jets planning on a portion of their summer training camp being held in upstate NY. I don’t care! I care about winning and a Super Bowl. Frankly I am pretty surprised that the multi-million dollar facility in Florham Park doesn’t include some simple dorms to be used during camp each year, but the alternative is the players spending summer camp sleeping in a comfortable hotel. That’s not what camp is about. It’s about getting ready for the season not ordering room service and pay-per-view movies. Right on REX!!!!
